Movie: Heat 1986- The Big Bet
Description: Burt Reynolds bets it all on a single hand. This movie was remade several years later under the title “Wildcard”, but it wasn’t nearly as good as this original.
Movie: The Last Casino 2004- Intro
A professor recruits three bright students, teaches them to count blackjack cards then sets out on a spree.
Excellent performances in this 2004 film from Charles Martin Smith, Katharine Isabelle and Kris Lemche more than make up for a slightly made-for-TV feel and a card counting system that probably wouldn’t work anywhere anymore.
Movie: Vegas Vacation 1997- Clark Griswold Can’t Catch a Break
Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) seems to have the worst luck at the blackjack tables. The comments from the dealer (Wallace Shawn) and his cousin Eddie (Randy Quaid) are sure to give you a laugh.
